Spring News Letter.
AGM and Prize giving:
Thursday 13th
May 2010.
The Annual General
Meeting of the Great Barford Scout Group is on Thursday 13th
May 2010 at 7.30pm. Before the meeting there will be prize giving for
the year’s outstanding Scouts, Cubs and Beavers. Refreshments will
be served followed by the AGM where parents can air their views. They
will also be asked to elect the members of the executive committee.
We need a new Treasurer and Membership Secretary.
Gilwell Park Funday: Saturday 19th
June 2010
Gilwell is the Scouting Association
Activity Centre. On the 19th June they are holding a
Funday. This is for Cubs and Beavers and is the largest event held
for the younger members. The Activities include Climbing, Water
rockets, Archery, Robogeddon, Abseiling, Crafts plus much more (See
notice board or view website “scouts.org.uk/fundays”). The funday
is turn up and try so you can pick and choose your activities. You
will need to bring a packed lunch, Swimming Kit, Change of clothes
and Sun Cream. The total cost including Coach and entry is £25. The
Coach will leave at 8.45am and return at 5.30pm. If your child wishes
to attend please complete the attached form and return to your
leader.

Term Subscriptions.
The subscriptions for the spring term
are now due. The term fees are £12. Please make your cheques payable
to “Great Barford Scout Group” and return with the attached slip
to your section leader ASAP.
